The first Norwegian TBM to break through in over 20 years happened on December 10, 2015 at the Rossaga Hydroelectric Project. The TBM, nicknamed "Iron-Erna", is the first TBM used in Norway since the beginning of the 1990s. Iron-Erna started cutting her way through the rock in 2014 and has now finished the 7.5 km. This means that the intake to the new power station is complete. The breakthrough was made 18 m below the surface. For further information click here and here.
