Cavico Corp has been awarded a contract to build a 1 km-long 10 m-wide headrace tunnel valued at USD12.5 million for the Song Tranh 2 hydropower project. Construction is expected to take 20 months to complete. After signing the contract, Cavico Vietnam plans to assign the work to its wholly owned subsidiary Cavico Bridge and Tunnel. The project, which has an investment value of USD260 million, is located in Bac Tra My city, Quang Nam province, approximately 70 km west of Da Nang city.
