Negotiated procedure with prior call for competition, deadline 19/08/2021, to establish a Framework Agreement for Phase 2 Route-wide Ground Investigations for HS2 Ltd. The procurement, split into 2 lots,  is for an initial eight-year framework, with the option to extend for a further two years. 

• Lot 1  - the Ground Investigation Partner (GIP) will be responsible for managing and coordinating the packaging of GI works as well as the planning and the implementation of GI site enabling works. Value GBP 85 million. 
• Lot 2 - the GI Contractors will be responsible for the acquisition and formal reporting of geotechnical, hydrogeological and geo-environmental data through surveys, the excavation and detailed logging of exploratory holes, and high-quality in-situ and laboratory testing. Value GBP 215 million.  

Bidders will be shortlisted towards the end of the year with the contract award expected in 2022.
