Open invitation to tender, deadline 23.11.2018, for geologist services, senior project geologist for the (DP) phase, chief client geologist for the construction phase up to and including commissioning of the second Tube of Gotthard Tunnel.

The General Project (GP) for the construction of the second Gotthard tunnel "Secondo tubo San Gottardo" was approved by the Federal Council in autumn 2017. The final draft was published in spring 2018. The purpose of this contract is: the services of an expert geologist at the service of the contracting authority.

During the final Project phase and thereafter, for the entire duration of the execution work, the Geologist must monitor and support, on behalf of FEDRO, either the design office or the contracting authority, for all aspects concerning geology and hydrogeology.

The mandate concerns either the project to build the second Gotthard tunnel or the project to redevelop the connection to the village of Airolo. The budget for the mandate is estimated in about 13,000 hours.
