Lemcon of the Lemminkäinen Group has won a EUR55 million contract to build the Torbacken-Hede dual-track section on the Gothenburg-Norwegian border line in western Sweden, as part of the Vänern line or northern link. The contract involves the construction of a 7.5 km-long track section, of which the approx. 3 km Nygard tunnel and its 2.4 km of exit access and rescue tunnels. Work on the site has begun in early September 2005 and will be completed in June 2009. EUR40 million to build the Hallberg and Snaraberg railway tunnels on the í…dalsbana line between Härnösand and Veda. The contract includes the construction of track tunnels measuring 2.3 km and 800 m in length respectively as well as their connecting rescue tunnels.
