Saitec of Leioa in northern Spain awarded EUR300,000 contract (excluding VAT) to study viability of three alternatives for proposed railway line between Bilbao and Castro Urdiales. Alternatives are: a connection from existing Santander Bilbao line to Castro Urdiales; a section of suburban line C-2 Bilbao-Muskiz between Muskiz and Castro Urdiales; or an extension of Bilbao metro line 2 from Kabiezes and Santurtzi to Castro Urdiales.
