The section crosses the En Ribes mountain through a tunnel following a 1,550 m curved radius, with a transition curve featuring a gradient limited to 3%. This 1,264 m tunnel, whereof 1,122 metres will be mined, is formed by two bores separated by two diameters (35 m). The roadway section has a clearance of 5 metres and an outer cross section of 226.17 sq m per tube. The German method will be used, by building first sidewall tunnels strongly reinforced and lined. Then, the top heading will be driven. Its reinforcement will rest on the walls of these tunnels. Lastly, the central bench will be dug and the invert. At the exit of the tunnel, cut-and-cover stretches wil lbe displayed to mitigate the visual impact of the tunnel.
