Description of the procurement:

Scope of the procurement includes design-build activities for tunnelling and civil works for Tunnel number 4 on Stalac-Dunis section. The total length of the tunnel no 4 is 3275 m and will be consisted (but not limited to) of the following main activities:

— preparation of design documentation in accordance with the Serbian regulations,

— tunnelling and construction of the new single tube, double-track rail tunnel located on the 182+325.00 km of the Belgrade-Nis railway line,

— construction of the tunnel using the NATM design and construction method,

— construction of the three Emergency Exit shafts with two exist points on each side of the railway,

— the scope of works includes all the necessary tunnelling and civil works, but not electrification, signalling and telecommunication which are part of Lot 2.

II.2.4)

Description of the procurement:

Scope of the procurement includes design-build activities for reconstruction and modernization of existing railway line and construction of the second track railway Belgrade — Nis, section Stalac — Dunis. The total length of the of the line is 17.77 km of a double-track railway and will be consisted (but not limited to) of the following main activities:

— preparation of design documentation in accordance with the Serbian regulations,

— reconstruction of the exiting railway track and construction of the second railway track for a maximum designed speed of 160 km/h,

— construction of the tunnels 1, 2, 3 and 5 using the NATM design and construction method,

— construction of the emergency exit shafts for tunnel number 1 with two exist points on each side of the railway,

— the scope of works includes all the necessary tunnelling and civil works, electrification, signalling and telecommunication.

National authorisation (licencing) for construction works and designing is a legal requirement in Serbia, and has to be complied with at the time of the contract signature (it is not a condition for participating in tender and getting the contract awarded).

Legal basis:

• Regulation (EU) No 236/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 2014 laying down common rules and procedures for the implementation of the Union's instruments for financing external action.

• Decision No 466 / 2014 / EU, published in the Official Journal of the EU, No L 135 of 8 May 2014.

• Works will be implemented in accordance with FIDIC Contract Conditions for ‘Plant and Design-Build’ (‘Yellow Book’).
