Postponed until 29.09.2017 is the deadline of the open invitation to tender for the Levada do Norte - Lanço Sul - Tunel do Espigao project, which involves the updating of existing infrastructure for conveying and storing water for irrigation purposes, and to reduce water losses. The contract includes the construction of a 4.9m tunnel between Ameixieira and Espigao to be used for irrigation water transport and for water storage (minimum 15 000 m3) and other ancillary works. The value of the contract is EUR15.5 million, excluding VAT. Duration of the contract is 900 days.
