Poyry has been awarded a EUR2.1 million contract to provide specialized technical assistance to the project management consortium designing and constructing Line 1 of Panama metro, the first to be built in Central America. Poyry earlier advised on basic design, bidding and support during the award process. The completed metro line will be 13.7 km-long, with 7 km underground and 5 km elevated, and will have 11 stations.
