Bergen Municipality manages the water and sewage systems which include over 100 km of tunnels and rock chambers. The water and sewage installations in rock consist of a treatment plant for wastewater and associated supply tunnels, sewage and discharge tunnels, as well as water treatment plants with pure water basins, and tunnels for supply and distribution to the users. 

The treatment plants for wastewater and water treatment plants consist of larger rock chambers with several installations and open basins that require extra measures and equipment in order to secure the rock in the rooms. The agreement also includes safety measures for open air cliffs and cuts at access roads and open-air facilities. For tender documents click here where tenders must be sent.
