The Auckland central motorway junction contract, value EUR185 million, has been awarded by NZTA to V-Formation consortium of Fletcher Construction, Beca Engineering, Higgins Contractors and Parsons Brinckerhoff. The 2.2 km-long project includes a 440 m-long tunnel beneath Victoria Park to carry three lanes of northbound traffic, while the existing viaduct will carry four lanes southbound.
