The contract for the laboratory tests on tunnels on the  Autostrade per l’Italia SpA motorway network. Given the need of the contracting authority to organize, with the utmost speed and rigor, a real assessment of all tunnels in the network managed under concession, in order to verify their safety status. Also these institutions will provide support for the detailed inspection and implementation of safety interventions, and the execution of tests on the materials constituting the structural lining of the network tunnels.

The tunnel assessment plan has been split into three lots, and has been awarded to: 

• Polytechnic University of Turin, EUR 312,977.37, excluding VAT, Northern Area DT1 Genoa – DT2 Milan (Lot 1); 
• Pisa University, EUR 138,240, excluding VAT, Central Area Centro DT3 Bologna, DT4 Florence and DT9 Udine (Lot 2); 
• Polytechnic University of Bari, EUR 156,910, excluding VAT, South Area DT5 Fiano Romano, DT6 Cassino and DT7 Pescara  (Lot 3).
