This section will link Annecy in Upper Savoy to Geneva, Switzerland. It includes a 3.1 km 10.5 m-wide twin bored tunnel under Mount Sion, to be excavated by a TBM. The design and building is budgeted at EUR520 million, with no contribution of public funds. It is expected the contract will be signed before the end of the summer.
