Route options under study on RN5 in Isle of Reunion include a unique tunnel between Entre-Deux and Cilaos or two tunnels, the first between Entre-Deux and Palmiste-Rouge (3-4 km) and the second between Palmiste-Rouge and Bras-Sec in Cilaos (700-800 m). Two lanes, bi-directional, diameter 12 m. Cost estimate €122-€228 million. 21/02.
