Altamira Information part of the CLS Group secured the EUR4,5million contract for the satellite-based supervision of the Grand Paris Express project. The project includes the construction of 200 additional km of metro lines and 68 new stations that will link the transport hubs of Greater Paris, the three airports and the TGV (high-speed train) stations. The project involves overcoming geotechnical difficulties in certain areas, the new network will need to take into account existing key infrastructures, and works will take place in densely or very densely populated and built-up areas. All these factors demand an accurate surveillance in order to minimise any possible impact that this 15-year long construction may have in the area. A monthly report will be created to inform people about stable and moving areas, enabling the general managent to assess the impact of the excavation on the surface and to decide on possible adjustments.
