China Railway 16th Bureau Group Ltd secured the contract for the construction of the first of six sections of Santiago’s US $2.5bn metro Line 7, in the western sector of Santiago, located in the communes of Renca, Cerro Navia and in a part of Quinta Normal. The contract includes the construction of shafts, tunnels (6.6 km by TBM and 1.4 km by NATM) and 7 stations. The section 1 will be from Station n. 1 - located at the intersection of Av. Vicuña Mackenna with Av. Brasil - in the commune of Renca - to Station n.7 - located at the intersection of Av. Mapocho with Av. Walker Martínez - in Quinta Normal.
