Electrowatt-Ekono of Switzerland, part of the Jaakko Pöyry Group, has been awarded a power consultancy service contract from NHPC for Stage II of the 4 x 200 MW Parbati hydroelectric plant. The contract includes tunnelling expert services, which will be provided by Electrowatt Infra. The Parbati scheme involves a 90 m-high dam on the Parbati river and a 31.4 km-long 6 m-diameter headrace tunnel.
