On the 16/03/2020 construction of the tunnel between the Mamyri and Slavic World stations began for the new Kommunarskaya metro line. Mosinzhproekt JSC is the general designer and general contractor for the construction of new lines and stations for the Moscow metro.

TBM Galina, diameter 6 m, has now started to drive the sixth tunnel  with a length of 1925 m, at a depth of 13-19 m. Previously TBM Galina worked on the south-western section of the BCL (Big Circle Line) where it drove two tunnels. Currently 5 TBMs are tunnelling for the Kommunarskaya line: Elena and Svetlana are working from the Peoples 'Friendship University  to Novatorov Street ; Olga is currently laying the right tunnel from the Peoples' Friendship University station to General Tyulenev Street;  the section between the Slavic World and General Tyulenev Street stations is being erected by TBMs Polina and Daria.

The Kommunarskaya metro line will run from the station of the Moscow central ring to Troitsk. The Kommunarskaya Line will be the second longest metro line after the Big Circle Line about 38 km with 16 stations in total. For further information please click here and here. 12/20.
