The TBM for the grand Paris Express is now ready to start. The TBM was christened Magaly on the 09.09.2015 it is the first of two TBMs that will dig the tunnel for the extension of line 14. The TBM will make a circular tunnel under Paris and Clichy, between the rue de Londres 8th arrondissement of Paris and rue Pierre Dreyfus. The 3.6km tunnel will be double-track and 7.75 m in diameter. The TBM will start in October going from Pont Cardinet to Gare Saint-Lazare. Then in June 2016, it will resume the excavation to the station Clichy - Saint-Ouen and on to Clichy-la-Garenne. At the end of 2015 the second TBM will start, to dig a 1.7km tunnel from the site of Clichy − Saint-Ouen station at Saint-Ouen and on to rue Marcel Cachin in Saint Denis municipality.
