Spain - Breakthrough in the Requejo rail tunnel

On the 20.06.2018 Adif completed the excavation of the left tube of the Requejo tunnel (2.5 km), on the Pedralba de la Praderia - Padornelo Tunnel subsection (province of Zamora) of the AV Madrid-Galizia line. The left tube of the Requejo tunnel is 2,540 m long, of which 20 m and 120 m at the cut and cover portals and the remaining 2.4 km will be dug in the traditional way.
