Latest tunnelling updates  from the Namma/Bangalore Metro

M/S Afcons Infrastructure LTD is working on the 3.655 Kms, between South Ramp to Rashtriya Military School (RT-01 Package), including the 3 underground stations Diary Circle, Mico Industries and Langford Town:  

  • TBM Varada on 11/11/21 reached the Langford Town Station completing the 595m North Bound tunnel and it has to restart towards the Rashtriya Military School -Launching Shaft to drive the South tunnel;  
  • TBM Rudra on 12/11/2021 completed the 614.60 m tunnel from the South ramp near Karmika Bhavana to Dairy Circle. The machine has to continue northwards to Mico Industries (Lakkasandra) and Langford Town;  
  • TBM Vamika has driven 443,80 m of its tunnel for the South Bound  from South Ramp to Dairy Circle, reaching a 72.30% of advancement. 

 

M/S Larson & Toubro Ltd is working on the 2.762 Km Rashtriya Military School to Shivajinagar section (RT-02 Package), including the 3 underground stations Rashtriya Military School, MG Road e Shivajinagar:  

  •  TBM Avni, which is excavating from Shivajinagar, broke through in November at the MG Road station before continuing towards Rashtriya Military School. The TBM had driven 929.20 m with 86,5’% of its tunnel length completed for the South Bound tunnel; 
  • TBM Lavi - which is excavating from Shivajinagar to Rashtriya Military School - has driven 633.60 m of the North bound tunnel with a 59% of its tunnel length completed.    

M/S ITD Cementation India Ltd is working on the 4.591 Kms South of Tannery Road Station to North Ramp  (RT-04 Package), including 4 underground stations Tannery Road, Venkateshpura, Kadugondanahalli & Nagawara:  

  • TBM Bhadra, started on the 17/06/2021 from the launching shaft at Venkateshpura Station, has tunnelled 203 m south bound towards the retrieval shaft, with  16% completed; 
  • TBM Tunga has driven 117.60 m of the North Bound tunnel from Venkateshpura Station to its retrieval shaft.
