On 02.04.2012 the south tube of Grizzana tunnel on the La Quercia-Lagaro section lot 5 of Variante di Valico broke out. The north tube breakthrough was on 15.12.2011. The Grizzana tunnel (north tube 2,179.00 m and south tube 2,124.97 m), has a 160 sq m section with 16 m-diameter. Each tube has 15 SOS niches.
