TBM Armelle

TBM Armelle, a TBM on the Grand Paris Express Line 16 has broken through. The TBM was originally launched from the Georges Braque shaft in October 2019 and broke through in Aulnay-sous-Bois after 1.3km. The machine will have to drive another 2 km, before reaching its final destination: the Hugo structure in Le Blanc-Mesnil. Once completed, the 3.3 km tunnel will allow trains to access the operations and maintenance centre of Lines 16 and 17 at the ex PSA site in Aulnay-sous-Bois.
