On 26.05.2014 the provincial government approved the technical characteristics of the future Bolzano ring road alignment in Italy. The construction of the EUR368million project will be divided into four lots. The first lot (EUR199 million) concerns the 3.9 km-long tunnel under the hill linking ​​Maso della Pieve area with Campiglio; the second lot (EUR26.14 million) includes the underground new alignment of Via Einstein, between Via Galvani and Via Buozzi roundabouts; the third lot (EUR55.16 million) involves the construction of a link between Via Einstein and the Merano-Bolzano highway; the fourth lot (EUR87.72 million) will include the 2.5 km-long tunnel under Monte Tondo.
