Press Release - Catellan's Marguerite TBM delivered - On 29 February, Catellan's Marguerite, the third TBM of Line C of the Toulouse metro, was delivered. The first parts will reach the construction site from April 2024. The TBM will excavate the 4.2 km section between Montaudran Gare - Piste des Geants and the Saint Sauveur shaft.
The Jeanne Marvig TBM passes the FAT - On 14 February in Thieux, for Line C of the Toulouse metro: the second TBM, christened Jeanne Marvig - weighing 150 t, over 100 m long and with a diameter of approximately 10 m - also passed the factory acceptance test. In the coming months, the machine will be transported to the construction site of the future Colomiers station, from where it will start to excavate the 4 km section up to the Laporte shaft.
Five TBMs will be used for the construction of the 22 km tunnels connecting the 21 stations of Line C. The three machines Berthe de Puybusque, Jeanne Marvig and the next Lise Enjalbert will be reconditioned.
The Clemence Isaure TBM started excavating the first tunnel of the link between lines B and C
On 19 February, TBM Clemence Isaure - 30 m-length, 5.28 m-diameter -christened in the presence of the authorities on 2 February, began excavating the first of the two 250 m tunnels between Ramonville and the Parc du Canal, part of the link between lines B and C of the Toulouse metro. Excavation is expected to be completed by June 2024. Work on the second tube will last from July to October 2024. Each tunnel will be excavated from west to east, starting from the Ramonville bus station and ending at 1, avenue Europe in Ramonville.
On September 2027, the B line connection will join the current terminus in Ramonville with Labege. Line B will be extended by two stations: Parc du Canal and Labège Madron, and will be connected to Line C.
The Line C and Line B connection projects pave the way for tomorrow's mobility!
