Promoter for Lyon-Turin HSR

On 24.02.2015 Maurizio Lupi, the italian Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, and  Alain Vidalies, the French Secretary of State for Transport, signed in Paris an integration to the 2012 intergovernmental agreement between Italy and France to allow the start of main work of the high-speed Lyon-Turin Line.

On 23.02.2015 was established the Public Promoter Telt (Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin) supervisor of the construction and operation of the future infrastructure, owned 50 percent each by the Italian State Railways (FS) and the French State. It will replace LTF Lyon Turin Ferroviaire, the company that since October, 2001 managed studies and preliminary works of the high speed line Lyon Turin.

On 20.02.2015 the CIPE (committee of economic planning) approved the final project for the 17 km-long Italian section from the border to Bussoleno (Susa). The cross-border section will include the base tunnel, the Susa interchange, the interconnection tunnel and the interconnection at Bussoleno station entrance. The total cost of this cross-border section will be EUR8.6 billion at 2012 values, to be divided between France, Italy and the EU under the agreement of 30.01.2012. The cost of the Italian cross-border section is about EUR2.6 billion, of which approximately EUR1.6 billion falls to Italy in the absence of any European contribution. This could drop to EUR958 million if the EU provides the normal 40 percent maximum contribution to such works.

On 26.02.2015 the Italian and French governments will ask the EU commission in Brussels for the EU co-financing of the cross-border section running from Bussoleno to St. Jean de Maurienne. Click here, fr/11 and it/80 for tunnelbuilder archive. Visit http://www.ltf-sas.com. 09/15.
