On the 14/01/2016 NFM Technologies in Le Creusot delivered the TBM Federica to Telt (Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin). The group of companies that are involved in the construction in Savoy, are led by Spie Batignolles TPCi. They will dig the survey tunnel  at Saint Martin La Porte, towards Italy before starting construction of the base tunnel at Turin-Lyon. The 5 MW TBM (length 135 m, weight 2,400 t), will dig the 9 km of tunnel in Savoy. The shield (11.21 m diameter) is equipped with 76 cutters. The estimated duration of the works are 5-8 years.
