Qatar Rail has awarded the Manufacture, Supply & Install (MSI) and Systems Maintenance (SM) contract for Systems, Rolling Stock and Trackwork on Phase 1 of the Doha metro to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd (leader) - Mitsubishi Corporation - Hitachi Ltd – Kinki Sharyo Co Ltd – Thales Canada Inc. Consortium. The consortium will supply the power distribution system, platform screen doors, tracks and tunnel ventilation work, and will also undertake overall project management and system integration.
