On April 27th, the EPSF (Public Railway Safety
Establishment) approved the preliminary safety file concerning the
infrastructure of the cross-border section, in application of Decree 2006-1279
on the safety of railway traffic and the interoperability of the railway
system.
For TELT it’s a recognition of several years of studies that
are the basis of the dossier presented in July 2017. The procedure was jointly
instructed by EPSF for France and by the National Agency for Safety of Railways
for Italy.
Thanks to this approval, construction works can begin on the
French side with the Saint-Julien-Montdenis covered trench and the Avrieux
