Uzbekiston Temir Yullari the Uzbekistan Railway Company, will shortly open their new123.1 km  electrified railway line between Agren in the Tashkent region and Pap in the Namangan region. This railway line includes a 19km long tunnel through the Kamchik Mountain Pass. The China Railway Tunnel Group signed the 455 million dollar contract for the tunnel construction back in June 2013. The tunnel will connect the mainland with the Ferghana Valley in the Namangan Region and with the Uzbek capital of Tashkent. Click here for to view a news video about the project.
