Rock-Machines
Sweden AB Rock-Machines Sweden AB manufactures and markets the Hägglunds range of specialised machinery for fast and efficient tunnelling. The Hägglunds high speed tunnelling method uses both rail-mounted and rubber-tyred loaders and shuttle cars, and is used in tunnelling and infrastructure projects all over the world. Technical development of the product range has continued, and we now offer cable bolting equipment for mechanised rock reinforcement. |

Shuttlecars are designed to work together with our railborne loaders for truly continuous loading. Muck is loaded onto the shuttletrain by the Häggloader and then transferred from car to car via built-in conveyors. Shuttlecars come in several sizes from 9.0 cu m (HRST90) to 14.0 cu m (HRST 140). Up to eight shuttlecars can be coupled together, allowing for excavation of more than 100 cu m of muck without car switching. | |||||||||||||||||

For
confined rail tunnels, the High Speed Tunnelling Method comprises a railborne
drillrig and Häggloader with Shuttletrain. The choice of shuttlecars
depends on the height of the tunnel. A separate service set can be used
for roofbolting, shotcreting, ditching and track-laying purposes. The Häggloader is a multi-purpose machine which can also be used for lifting rails into place, handling an Omega rail-extension system, and digging trenches in the tunnel floor. Loading capacity of the 8HR-2 version is on average 2.5 cu m/min loose rock, but can be increased to between 3.0 - 3.5 cu m/min depending on the height of the blasted muck-pile. For the larger 8HR5 the loading capacity is 6.0 - 9.0 cu m. The Shuttletrain is designed for transport in tunnels and drifts and is composed of several Shuttlecar units linked together. A conveyor in the base of each car transfers the rock along the train, from the loader in the front to the last car, to fill the complete train. No car-shunting is needed. By matching the number of cars in one train to the volume of the blasted rock, the complete round can be removed by one train set. |

Rubber-tyred
Loaders For trackless tunnelling we offer the 10HR and 12HR Häggloaders. Both are electro-hydraulically powered with a Deutz diesel engine for transport and utilise the same digging arm system and conveyor as the 8HR2 and 8HR5 respectively. Our rubber tyred Häggloaders will load your choice of transport vehicle. The 10HR is aimed at a 3.4 - 4.0 m-wide tunnels and the 12HR handles 4.5 - 6.2 m-wide tunnels. Just like our railborne loaders, these can also be fitted with a backhoe loading system. |

Crawler-based
Equipment Built around the same digging system and conveyor as our 8HR5 and 12HR Häggloaders, we now offer a crawler based loader for tunnels from 4.5 to 6.2 m wide. The 14HR comes with either the standard dual digging blades or a back-hoe digging system. It is electrohydraulically powered for production and utilises a Deutz diesel engine when moving over long distances. This loader can also be fitted with a pony track system to allow the machine to be towed on rails. |

Rock
Reinforcement Our Mechanised Grouting and Cable Insertion System (MEGCIS) can be mounted on your choice of carrier, truck or bucket loader. This equipment inserts steel cable and grout into a pre-drilled hole up to 40 m depth to stabilise tunnel roofs or hanging walls. The MEGCIS boom positions the hose, and grout is mixed on the unit and pumped into the hole. The steel cable is pushed in and cut by the feeder. |
