The consortium ETF (55 percent)/Colas (45 percent) secured the EUR150 million contract for construction and maintenance during 20 years of rail infrastructure (tracks and catenaries) for lines 3 and 6 of the metro system of Santiago, Chile. Work includes the installation of 75 km of electrified track (rigid overhead rail) in a tunnel, as well as 15 km of electrified track (conventional overhead lines) for two depots. Commissioning is scheduled for 2017 for line 6 and 2018 for line 3. The Lines 3 and 6 will be totally underground. Line 3 will be 22 km-long with 18 stations from Huechuraba in Quilicura municipality to Larrain in the Reina municipality. Line 6 will be 15.3 km-long with ten stations from Cerrillos to Los Leones. Isolux Corsan has been awarded the construction of section 3 of Line 3 of the Santiago de Chile Metro, a complex project requiring a 3.7 km tunnel excavated by NATM under the heart of the Chilean capital and crossing the Mapocho River to lead to Plaza de Armas. The project, with a planned investment of EUR75 million, will include the construction of the tunnel, three stations at Hospitales, Puente Cal y Canto and Plaza de Armas, five circular shafts, and two rectangular shafts over a period of 28 months. The Consortium Ossa/Echeverría Izquierdo SA secured the EUR85 million contract for construction of tunnels, shafts and stations on the sections B (PK: -1.750,000 - PK: + 68,500 on the east side of Las Parcelas Shaft) and C (PK: -2.781,000 - PK: - 1.750,000., on the west side of Plaza de Quilicura Station) of the Santigo metro Line 3 extension.
