NHIDCL  secured to Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd from Hyderabad (India) the contract for Construction, Operation and Maintenance of the 2-Lane BiDirectional 4.531 km long Silkyara Bend – Barkot Tunnel on the NH-134 (OLD NH-94) Dharasu-Yamunotri road between Km 25.40 to 50.25 Km. The EPC contract includes Escape Passage and Approaches. The tunnel will provide all weather connectivity to Yamunotri, and shall enhance regional socio-economic development, trade and tourism.
