NCC secured from LKAB a contract for the Avsankning M1250 project in Malmberget, at LKAB´s iron ore plant in Vití¥fors. The estimated value of the contract is SEK100 million in 2006 and an option for another SEK100 million in 2007, if LKAB use their option.The length of tunnel is approx. 8,600 metres this year (with option for approx. 9,000 m in 2007) and section is between 18-45 sq m. The Swedish National Rail Administration has appointed the í…F Group as consulting engineers responsible for electrical engineering, signalling and telecommunication systems in conjunction with the City Line in Stockholm. The City Line project is a single-tube double-track rail tunnel between Tomteboda in the centre of Stockholm and commuter stations on the south side of the city. The 5.6 km-long 110 m² tunnel will be built to expand rail traffic capacity on the southern approach to Stockholm. The project also includes two underground stations in Stockholm City and Odenplan.
