Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) has been awarded the contract for the Design and Construction of the Angat Water Transmission Improvement Project (AWTIP) to the Italian company CMC di Ravenna that submitted the lowest bid of EUR61.27 million (Php 3.291 billion) after 12% VAT. The government agency previously disclosed the bid of China Railway Group Ltd. of about EUR67.02 million (Php3.60 billion) and McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust) Pty Ltd.
