Expertise in Tunnelling
Since the foundation of the company in 1987, GEODATA has been active in underground construction. Its close location to the Mining University of Leoben and the significant role Austria is playing in tunnel construction are the reasons why the company has been a leader in the introduction of new technology from the start. Today, GEODATA is a global leader in the field of geotechnical measurements, surveying and all measuring tasks required for underground construction and subsurface mining. More than 250 successfully completed projects on 5 continents are proof of our expertise in this field.
Products and Services
Network and control survey
To meet the high quality demands for underground construction GEODATA uses up-to-date methods and instruments.
Apart from GPS measurements at the surface, this also includes gyroscopic measurements underground, using the
Gyromat 2000.
Tunnel laser scanning
Spatial recording of the excavation profile enables significant cost savings through targeted quality improvement with respect to the quality of the excavation profile and optimisation of the concrete strength.
Heading and construction survey and guidance systems
Apart from the actual heading control necessary to maintain the required construction tolerances and an
optimal excavation profile, GEODATA supplies motorlaser systems for drill-and-blast excavations as
well as machine guidance systems for TBMs and road headers.
Optical 3D-displacement monitoring and geotechnical instrumentation
Geodetic measurements of three-dimensional displacements together with the provision of
numerous graphic evaluations satisfies the demands of geotechnical engineers. In addition
GEODATA is a provider of all common types of geotechnical instruments for tunnelling.
Surveying software and tunnel information system
Using only one especially for tunnel requirements designed surveying software, it is
possible to meet all surveying tasks in all phases of construction of the tunnel,
starting with network surveys, via heading guidance and control, right up to
deformation measurements. This also includes clear visualisation of the results. The tunnel information system enables the acquisition, transmission,
management, storage, evaluation and display of data.
It also facilitates
reporting and informing / alerting with reference to any data in the
fields of geotechnics, geotechnical measurements, geology, surveying,
geometry, construction progress and machine parameters.
