Last 17.02.2015 the City Council approved the final project of Collegno-Cascine Vica section, Line 1 of Turin metro. The project will be now evaluated by other authorities and MIT (Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport). Meanwhile CIPE has to approve the preliminary design, needed for final project approval and for project funding. The EUR304 million project will be entirely funded by the Government if it is ready for tender not later than 30.04.2015, and if the work site opens before 31.08.2015. The working plan will be completed late-2015. Duration of works is four years from 2016.

The Collegno-Cascine Vica section will be 3.4 km-long with four stations (Certosa, Collegno Centro, Leumann and Cascine Vica). Near Cascine Vica station underground parking for interchange with the ring road will be built. Certosa Station will be an interchange station for the railway Collegno station.
