On 22.03.2010 Cavico Corporation (Vietnam) signed a USD$11 million contract for tunnel construction at a 42 MW hydropower plant in Ha Giang province, some 210 km northwest of Hanoi, owned by Song Bac Hydropower JSC. Cavico will construct a 4,100 m-long, 3.8 m-diameter cross tunnel; a 143 m-long, 3.8 m-diameter incline tunnel; a 315 m-long adit; a 73 m-high surge tank; and a water intake gate.
