The Joint venture Impregilo (Italy)/Sa Healy (USA) has been awarded the contract for the construction of a new wastewater collector in Buenos Aires, within the framework of an environmental remediation program of the metropolitan region of the capital. The total value of the project – promoted by Agua y Saneamientos Argentinos SA, the leading operator in water treatment in Argentina, is about EUR360 million. The project includes the collection of wastewater from the Riachuelo plant via a 40 m-deep shaft to be carried to a diffuser on the bottom of the Rio de la Plata through an 11 km-long tunnel with 3.8 m diameter.
